What is Forward Deployed Engineering?

Forward Deployed Engineering is a way of solving real business and product problems in which the engineer doesn’t just wait to receive a technical specification.

First the real problem is investigated: users, processes, constraints and business goals. Then the problem is turned into a concrete solution and followed all the way from design to build, test, deployment and improvement.

In this model, the boundary between Product, Engineering and AI fades.

The goal is not writing code — the goal is turning a real problem into a real solution.
